Head of Local Highways Policy, Department for TransportMatt is the Head of Local Highways Policy at the Department for Transport. Matt joined the Highways team in 2019 and has a keen focus on encouraging innovation in the highways sector. Prior to this Matt worked on automated and connected vehicle policy and regulation, and was a Private Secretary for successive Transport Ministers at the DfT.

- A look at how lane rental schemes can be used to fund innovation and improve the quality of reinstatements.
- Discussing routes to improving the quality or accessibility of records about the location of underground pipes, wires, and other apparatus.
- Analysing the importance of quality control throughout the maintenance process and the need for strong regulation to ensure this.
