Chris Rimmer

Deputy Head of Department, CENEX

Chris is the Deputy Head of Department in Cenex’s Energy Systems and Infrastructure department. Having worked on connected homes at E.ON for a number of years, he leads the Infrastructure Strategy work, advising councils, charities, companies and countries on how to get the correct number of charge points of the right type in the right places.

Previously, he led the Innovate UK-sponsored EV-velocity and Cenex’s involvement in the E-Flex V2G projects. He now oversees Cenex’s involvement in the OZEV-funded LEVI Support Body, and has recently completed a feasibility study into dynamic wireless charging. 

When not thinking about electric vehicle infrastructure, he is an active member of his local church, loves walking in the Peak District and spending time with his family.
