CEO, Buchanan ComputingAlex has over 20 years’ experience working within the parking and transportation industry, developing market-leading applications and consultation services. These have primarily focused on local government and police forces for the creation and management of traffic orders and carrying out road accident analysis.
Drawing on a network of over 150 Local government clients, this provides Alex with keen insight in their current and future needs.
For the last six years’ he has had a close involvement in the standardisation of street space data sets, in particular APDS and TRO-D initiatives. Providing input into TRO Alpha, TRO-Discovery, and has had a strong input into the subsequent trialling of the D-TRO data model. This includes amending and providing feedback into missing elements within the model. In conjunction with this he has overseen the development of Buchanan’s web services which enables sharing of data between transport related applications and services.
