From First Stand to Repeat Customers
Techies and Spenders, in the Right Balance
Beyond Batteries came to Traffex looking for people who could both specify and buy, and that's who turned up. Visitors ranged from matrix sign manufacturers and parking machine suppliers to traffic management firms and the technology companies that support them.
Tier 1 and tier 2 contractors were in the mix too, giving the team a route into the larger organisations they want to work with in future.

Back-to-Back Conversations
What surprised the team most was the pace. The number of relevant visitors was well out of proportion to the size of the show, and the stand stayed busy with useful conversations throughout both days.

Quick Wins and a Longer-Term Pipeline
Beyond Batteries took a 9sqm shell scheme stand for £3,789, plus its own stand branding. Around £20k in direct sales came through within three months, more than five times the stand cost, and those customers are coming back. The team is also in detailed talks with several larger firms, where the sales cycle is longer but the potential is bigger.
That mix is what sets Traffex apart for them. Other events, including the larger highways show at the NEC, have produced long-term leads but far fewer short-term gains. Traffex delivered both, at a better cost per square metre, in a venue the team found a refreshing change.
The show covered our costs quickly and provided a fruitful set of leads.
