Katie Myles

Engineer – Place Design, South Gloucestershire Council

I'm an Engineer in Place Design at South Gloucestershire Council, specialising in Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) and the design of inclusive, sustainable public spaces. I’m currently working on the City Region Sustainable Transport Settlement (CRSTS) programme, delivering infrastructure that supports active travel and low-carbon lifestyles. My past work includes high street regeneration projects, school streets, speed limit changes, waiting restrictions, and the introduction of parking charges — all aimed at improving accessibility, safety, and place quality. I’ve recently begun sharing insights at events like Traffex and Highways UK, and I’m passionate about sharing knowledge and supporting the next generation of engineers.
