A Chartered Highway Engineer and Fellow of CIHT, Deborah worked in both the public and private sector for over 25 years as a highway engineer specialising in road safety and asset management. For the past 10 years she has been an academic in the School of Engineering of the University of Greenwich at Medway, focussing on professional skills, construction management & technology, and highway engineering. Deborah is the employability champion for engineering and has contributed to the development of the university’s assessment policy, and the employability, professional registration, and industrial aspects of a new university wide curricula. She has been a member of CIHT for over 30 years and has sat on numerous committees, working groups and panels, and has served as a professional reviewer since 2003. Currently she is a Trustee and senior Vice President.
