Chris is the Director of the Complex Infrastructure Programme in Highways England. He portfolio includes the award-winning A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon Improvement Scheme, A303 Stonehenge and A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet and the RIS3 Pipeline schemes.
Chris Taylor studied mechanical engineering and renewable energy at University of Warwick and spent some time studying and working in Sri Lanka and Africa. Chris worked for an M&E contractor and moved from there to Halcrow, staying within the water industry. He then joined Thames Water for seven years as a lead design engineer and design manager, before moving to Veolia Water in Folkestone, where he led their capital investment and asset management team. In 2012, after two years as general manager for Veolia, Chris joined Highways England.
