Tim Shickle

Head of Arboriculture & Vegetation, PJ Chaffins

Tim has worked within the Arboricultural and Highway sectors for the past 25 years and has a wealth of experience in both the public and private sectors. Tim’s background within the highways sector has enabled him to have a detailed understanding of how road safety and vegetation management must work in harmony to ensure that vehicular speeds do not increase when trees/shrubs are removed.

Tim is currently working on a paper relating to maintaining road safety whilst opening up visibility on the rural road network to mitigate the likes of ash dieback and how there is a national opportunity to look at biodiversity net gain across the local and strategic highway networks.
