Rob Hubbard
Principal Consultant, CantidadPrincipal Consultant Rob Hubbard is a chartered quantity surveyor and construction adjudicator who has had a diverse career with over 30 years’ experience, progressing from site-based roles with Tier 1 contractors through managerial roles to director level in private practice. Rob has led teams to deliver a wide range of construction and civil engineering projects in several varied sectors.
From feasibility studies through to final account and further through dispute resolution, Rob has successfully managed the commercial delivery of projects and programs of work. He has a direct and immediate experience of the needs and requirements of both contractor and employer organisations and prides himself on delivering efficiently and effectively and to exceptionally high standards.
He has a MSc in construction law and dispute resolution. He is a RICS registered expert witness and is currently also studying to become a registered mediator. As well as being a member of RICS, Rob is also a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation (FCIHT),a fellow of the Institute of Highways (FIHE) a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), member of the Association of Project Managers (MAPM) and associate member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (AMICE).

What happens when a contract goes wrong?
- With more longer-term highway maintenance and framework contracts being delivered, how do the client and contractor solve disputes at different stages of the contracts, and how can such risk be minimised in the first place?
- This session will also focus on this, as well as cost management, quantity surveying, and project and risk management
