Highways Award Winners
- Regent Street Flyover, which carries the A64(M) motorway over the A61 dual carriageway in Leeds, was constructed in the 1960’s and had reached the end of its useable life
- This design and build project (WSP and Balfour Beatty) involved complex demolition and reconstruction within a politically sensitive city centre environment
- The new flyover was completed in November 2022 and is now a striking piece of infrastructure within the city centre of Leeds, facilitating over 70,000 vehicle journeys per day.
