Kim is Costain’s smart places lead, helping customers across the UK understand the smart places agenda and create solutions to address key issues such as decarbonisation, alternative energy and mobility services. She develops strategies to help authorities realise significant benefits from smart places principles, both within cities and regional settings, through deployment of interconnected systems and capturing, analysing and visualising data across complex infrastructure networks to make better informed decisions. Kim has project managed strategic innovation roll-outs in the transport and energy industries. She is currently bringing an industry perspective to partnerships with universities and smart places programmes across the UK, including being a member of the ICE’s Municipal (Urban Engineering) Expert Panel.
