As the newly appointed Managing Director of RedSpeed International Ltd, I am delighted to be part of the team participating in this year's Traffex show at the NEC.

This will be the third consecutive Traffex event that RedSpeed has exhibited at. As a new company, Traffex proved an invaluable route in to the market place. It allowed us to meet new clients and partners whilst raising awareness of the RedSpeed brand. The growth of the Traffex event is, I believe reflective of the growth in both awareness and demand in our market sector and more specifically reflects the growth that RedSpeed has enjoyed over the last five years.

This year, RedSpeed is one of just three event partners of the Traffex exhibition. Traffex is the premier European event for international traffic engineering, road safety and highway maintenance; association with this prestigious event will I believe heighten awareness of RedSpeed as a brand and show our commitment to what is for us a local event.

RedSpeed International Ltd is the only manufacturer of fixed speed enforcement systems in the UK. All of our products are designed and built in our Midlands head office. SpeedCurb, a digital fixed speed camera; RedGuard our digital red light enforcement system and RedSpeed our combined speed and/ or red light enforcement system were the first digital enforcement systems in the UK to achieve Home Office Type Approval, with well in excess of 300 systems installed in England alone our equipment has proven itself many times over.

Traffex will provide us with the ideal opportunity to showcase RedFusion, our zonal multi point average speed enforcement system. The system is set to be implemented on the A13 a major route into London from the East. This route is ideally suited for zonal enforcement with multiple entry and exit points and a number of changes in speed limits. With trial sites set up in Worcestershire and Buckinghamshire, we are seeing success rates above and beyond our expectations.

Being directly in front of customers at trade shows allows us to fully demonstrate the capability of our equipment. We are able to simulate an offence processing system on the exhibition stand like that in operation at RedSpeed Illinois. Our US based company has provided municipalities in the State with a complete bespoke system offering a service commencing with site surveys and liaison with the State Department of Transport through the installation and operation of red light cameras to the processing of offences in our call centre. In addition to offering an adjudication service, RedSpeed Illinois can provide an internet platform for drivers to view both photographs and short video sequences of the alleged offence.

The Traffex exhibition should provide visitors with an insight in to the technology available in the traffic and transport industry both for today and the future. I am confident that a visit to RedSpeed on stand F10 will provide equally as valuable to anyone wishing to look at speed and red light enforcement systems.
